ASID Maryland Field trip to York Wall Coverings!
Studio, Archive, Manufacturing Facility Tours & Lunch
Aug 23rd at 10am- 2pm. Only 15 spots open! We will meet directly at the York wall coverings facility: 750 Linden Ave York, PA 17404 . Join us as ASID Maryland visits America's oldest and largest wallpaper manufacturer. York has been manufacturing wallcoverings since 1895 in its original location in the York, PA. We will have the opportunity to tour the studio and archives, tour the manufacturing facility- see roller and screen printing and other new and old techniques visit the additional printing building to see the digital printing, gravure printing and larger commercial printing. The group will be split for the tours and meet back together for lunch, (lunch provided by York!) and discussion with York designers, the head of the design studio, Ron Redding and perhaps even Carl Vizzi, York Wall President. They will be asking for your imput on current designs, what designers need in the market place, and how York can help you.
Sherwin Williams hosts CEU at MICA
ASID Industry Partner Sherwin Williams will host a free luncheon CEU program at MICA on Thursday July 29 from noon-3 pm. Though this event is not hosted by ASID, the CEU credits are valid for ASID members. PLEASE DO NOT RSVP TO THE CHAPTER; RSVP to hosts directly. More details, click here.

Mark Your Calendar for the ASID Maryland Annual Meeting
Note Date Change/Silent Auction Items Sought
Mark your calendars now for the biggest event of the ASID Maryland year! The Chapter’s Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration is slated for Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 6 pm, at the Rusty Scupper Restaurant in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. At this spectacular dinner event, we will honor our outstanding members, meet incoming board members and present the awards in our annual design competition. There will be a large silent auction and the design competition boards will be on display. Don’t miss it!
We are currently accepting donations of items for the Silent Auction from designers and Industry Partners. We accept merchandise or coupons for services. Gift cards, restaurant gift certificates, concert or sports tickets are also welcome. Donors will be recognized in the evening’s program and in the chapter’s quarterly magazine.
