Lunch and Learn at Bandicoot's Sept 8
ASID Maryland's September Lunch and Learn will be held Wednesday, September 8, 11:30 am to 1 :30 pm at Bandicoot Trading Company, 1816 Margaret Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401. Bandicoot Trading Company, an ASID Industry Partner, is bringing long-time furniture manufacturing rep Al Horine to speak at the Lunch and Learn, which is free for ASID members, and $10 for non-members and includes a light lunch.

Al has been a manufacturer's representative for over thirty years in the mid-Atlantic region and brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the industry. He will be introducing The Custom Shoppe, a domestic furniture manufacturer based in Watertown, WI. Their custom product line was specificially designed to be easliy modified and is based on a "toolbox" system. This makes it less expensive than a true "custom built" item, yet still retains all the beauty and value of a finely crafted piece of furniture. The Custom Shoppe also adheres to sustainable industry practices and promotes "green" initiatives in manufacturing.

Al also represents Superior Furniture, based in Lowell, MI. Solid woods, over 200 sku's, nine different product lines, 50 finishes and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes make this a line to know. Superior also offers a semi-custom option in their occasional line and an array of color options with the ColorStudio swatch book as well as Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams shades.
